mount /mnt/floppy
      /mnt/cdrom
      /mnt/cdrom1
      /mnt/dvdrom
      etc.

umount to unmount, if /etc/fstab doesn't have them configured as user
mountable, then you will have to be root.

Graphically, in Nautilus (the Gnome desktop and filemanager), you can
just right click on the desktop and select Disks > <disk>. To unmount,
right click on the mounted disk and select Eject.
