What sites are you trying to access?  Sounds like your
fonts might not be able to handle differing character
sets.  Some sites use Windows 1256 while others users
use UTF-8, and so forth.  To see if it's just that
your font can't handle that encoding scheme, compare
some different ones like  www.aljazeera.net (win1256)
versus Google-Arabic and Google-Persian (utf-8).  I
have 2 separate fonts in my .fonts directory to handle
sites with differing character sets.   
If one of these sites works while the other doesn't,
this could be the problem.  If this is the problem, I
have  you need some cool fonts (eg. nastaliq style --
*really* cool).
