Hi all, I'm running Redhat 9 on an Inspiron 4150. My Inspiron wouldn't sleep/blank the screen until I installed two experimental XFree86 drivers (see post below). However, I updated my kernel today to 2.4.20-20.9 (from 2.4.20-8) and now the XFree86 drivers won't work anymore. Strangely, if I try to boot using my old kernel, the experimental XFree86 drivers still won't work. I assume I have to compile something from source to get this to work. Can someone tell me how to do this?

Thanks a lot! Yes! N8gray on this list solved that for me by suggesting the latest experimental XFree86. He also suggested flashing the latest BIOS (which was, and still is, A06) to solve some other APM problems. Details at http://www.pobox.com/~jdreyer/i4150/ See items 10 and 11. _______________________________________________ newbies mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://phantom.byu.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/newbies
