I want to install XP and RedHat 9 (with a dual boot setup) on a new computer I am about to finish putting together. I have had issues in the past with this and I don't know which to install first so that I can use a Linux boot loader setup (lilo or grub).
How should I set up the partitions - what kind should each be? Which should I install first? XP? I might need some individual help to set all the stuff up in linux. I got some things set up after many hours of painstaking work and trying and many posts. I want to set up apache web server, mysql, php, ssh and ftp servers... If you have any specific instructions on how to set these up that are idiot proof (j/k) I can probably follow them. Just don't assume that I know the "obvious" basics. I figure that in half an hour or an hour if someone has time they could come over and set up the rest. If anyone feels like the could be such a generous soul next week or weekend sometime, let me know off the list. Thanks a bunch.
