Ok, so I just stuck RedHat on a desktop, and now, when I start up, everything works until I start XWindows... Then, my screen is off center, and I have to manually reconfigure the settings. The problem is, if I then log out (to command line), and then do startx again, my screen settings are off again. (back to exactly where it was to begin with). I just noticed that I have the same problem if I open a game such as Tux Racer, and then quit it. For some reason, my screen settings revert. I'm very confused, and quite tired of resetting monitor settings every time i do anything... Does anybody know how I can fix this??? Thanx for this and all other help in the past! ~Erin p.s. I'm running RedHat 8.0 with KDE... Screen size is 1024x768... don't know if you'll need that...
