I tried to " fdisk -l /dev/hda" in a linux terminal, and was told that it 
was  an invaild command line? I couldn't figure out how I partitioned the 
hard drive.

What else can I do?

How did you repartition the drive?  fdisk?

do this:

     fdisk -l /dev/hda

And send the list the output.
