edit /etc/hosts and add your machines name to the 127.0.0.1 line along
with localhost.  This will make it work better, especially if you don't
have a DNS entry for your hostname.  Tying your hostname to 127.0.0.1
will always work even if you don't have a real ip address for whatever
reason.
