As root (su, enter root password) fire up your favorite text editor (type its name on the command line in a terminal window) and edit the file /boot/grub/grub.conf and just type in, or copy and paste, the above text in single qoutes to the end of the line that begins with: kernel /vmlinuz Save it, and quit. If you don't yet have a favorite text editor, I would suggest something like gnome-edit or kedit for the job for now. If you want to become a real Linux hacker someday you will want to learn emacs (hurray!) or vi eventually. Actually, probably at least a little of both really.
