These are both options in the kernel. If you had compiled your own, you'd have to double check that these options were set. Luckily the Fedora Core kernels have these options enabled. One thing you will need to install your wireless drivesr is to have the kernel sources installed. I'm at a loss as to what the package name is, check with (I think) 'yum search kernel'. If you have apt (http://freshrpms.net) installed, 'apt-cache search kernel'. In the list these provide will be the kernel sources, and install them: 'yum install <name>' or 'apt-get install <name>'.
