I'm still in the process of trying to get my wireless
card to work. I got the ipw2200 driver built okay,
and it shows up when I lsmod, but when I try to load
the driver I get the following:
# ./load
Unloaded: ipw2200 ieee80211 ieee80211_crypt_wep
ieee80211_crypt
FATAL: Module firmware_class not found.
Loaded: ieee80211_crypt ieee80211 ieee80211_crypt_wep
ipw2200
The files listed as loaded were all that came in the
firmware package from sourceforge.net, and the install
instructions said to place them in the hotplug
firmware directory (typically
/usr/lib/hotplug/firmware). That directory didn't
exist, so I created one and place the files in it. If
that is not what I should have done, where should I
place those files?
