Ok, I'm using FC2 and decided to install MPlayer. YUM
does not have it, believe it or not. So, the byuradio
website told me to do "yum update". I thought this
command would only update my headers. Well, it turned
out that all packets were updated (it took about 1
hour)... and mplayer still DOES NOT show!!!
On top of that, I had a very good-looking font set up,
Nimbus Sans pt 7, and during the update something
happened that now that font's bold is UGLY!!!!!
Aaaaaah!!!

To fix the font thing I have already tried to create a
folder to hold true type fonts and add the folder to
the font path. However, the font is still not seen by
the system PREFERENCES.

To install mplayer I have already tried to download
the source (I think that's what it was) and run gcc on
it, and it gave me a bunch of errors. The files I
tried to download and compile were
mplayer-1.0pre6-1.src.rpm and MPlayer-1.0pre6a.tar-1.

HELP???
Also, if somebody could tell how to update YUM headers
or add mirrors, would be much appreciated.

ThanX!
Eduardo
