The Mandrake installation cd will reinstall the
bootloader for you. When the installation screen comes up, hit some
buttons (it is pretty clear) for other options and go to rescue mode.
One of the menu items eventually displayed will reinstall lilo. Trent (Just switched to Ubuntu and I like it) Christopher Bailey wrote: So my faith in Linux is wavering ;). Instead, when the Lilo or whatever command shows up, the screen shows Li99 99 99 99...for a few rows and then stops. Anyone know what the problem might be or what the remedy is? Please help, I cant get to my windows partition or anything, so I am screwed right now for all my work. |
