Our next meeting (thursday September 15) will be our semesterly "don't
fear the penguin" meeting.

The "don't fear the penguin" meeting (DFTP) is focused toward teaching
the basics of linux to new users, particularly those who had linux
installed on their computers at the installfest. So, the topics are
quite simple --- things that will help the newbies get up and running
in their first week or two. As such, newbies who have used linux for a
short period of time are, in some ways, the ideal presenters!

DFTP topic ideas:
KDE/Gnome
Replacements for common windoze software
First steps into the terminal (10-15 *simple* commands (cd, ls, ...))
Installing new software (yum/apt)
Troubleshooting tips

If you are interested in presenting at the DFTP meeting, please email
me and let me know what you are interested in presenting. It can be
one of the above topics, or a topic of your own invention. I will
take those ideas, determine an outline for the meeting, and pass that
information along to those who were interested in presenting.

Thanks for the support and help with setting up this meeting.

~Erin
