Thanks to those who replied to my last post. I have the
Bootitng software and an idea of how to use it. Now the question of installing fedora
core 4. I remember a little bit of how FC4 was installed on my home PC from the
Install fest, but now that I am faced with doing it myself I am a bit worried
that I am going to severely mess things up (if I haven’t already.) After
backing up everything on my HD and defragmenting, I used the partitioning
software and reduced my windows partition, then I made a 15G “shared”
partition using Fat32 (I hope that’s right) and a 13G partition using “Linux
native” then a 1G partition of “swap” well anyway I think
that’s how we did it at the install fest. Now I have started the FC4
installation but I’m not sure what to do at the partition section of the
process. If this makes any sense and you are feeling generous with your time, I
would appreciate any ideas or instructions on what to do next. Thanks Zak |
