Um ... *I* don't really know. I have a Netgear WG511T pci card which is
supposed to be natively supported by Linux (and is listed on DSL's web page
as working out of the box). To be fair it does work quite well with
unencrypted wireless networks, but getting WPA to work is a pain. I guess
the best way to go is to find a distro that supports wireless well (like
Puppy Linux, hooray).

DSL has a list of
cards<http://damnsmalllinux.org/wiki/index.php/Verified_Wireless_Cards>verified
to work with the WPA disclaimer, I guess. This
<http://www.thewares.net/item/33>is a link to the website I am most closely
following for scripts and functionality, and a very similar
project<http://www.sacbhale.net/dpf.shtml>with some modifications to
the scripts and such and a zip file to easily
download them all.

I guess maybe some other guys'll be able to offer other better suggestions?

Joshua
