Chicago Murders Double Iraq Soldier Deaths

RUSH: Have you heard, ladies and gentlemen, of the murder rate in Chicago over
the summer?  Let me tell you this: "An estimated 125 people were shot and
killed over the summer. That's nearly double the number of U.S. soldiers killed
in Iraq over the same time period."  Now, since Obama now claims to understand
the surge's success in Iraq, will he try it in his hometown where murders in
Chicago exceed troop deaths in Iraq?  Foreign policy?  Domestic policy?  How
does Obama stack up?  Very poorly.  More people where he lives shot dead than
in Iraq.  Chicago, the new Anbar province. epresent Republican reformism?
Okay, that means the Republican Party is reforming back to its Reagan roots.

Will Obama Support Chicago Surge? Hometown Death Toll Double Iraq's

Barack Obama famously refused to support the surge in Iraq, claiming it would
"make things worse." Events have of course proved him very wrong, as Obama had
to admit to Bill O'Reilly. Now that he's acknowledged the efficacy of a surge,
will he call for one . . . in his own hometown?
As per this item [via Drudge] from the CBS affiliate in Chicago:

An estimated 123 people were shot and killed over the summer. That's nearly
double the number of soldiers killed in Iraq over the same time period.

So how about it? Will some enterprising MSM member ask Obama if he'll call for
a police surge to protect the lives of his own Illinois constitutents?
