Slovenia the former Yugoslav republic became independent and very quickly the member of the EU.
Appreciated for her "democracy" and respect of European standards, including ,oh how dear "human rights", nevertheless
something went wrong precisely in the second subject. 18 300 Slovenian citizens issued from the others former Yugoslav republics,
lost their Slovenian nationality, because they did not fill in the necessary forms. The number represents 1% of the Slovenian population.
Just imagine if suddenly 1% of French, American or, Chinese population suddenly get the status of foreigners. In China that would represent
Some 1.8 million of people and in USA 300 000.
Slovenia defend her position by saying that 200 thousand s of "foreigners" filled in the necessary forms before the time out, and that the
remaining 18 300 were not on time to do it. Those " swept off", like they call themselves, organized the protest in front of the EU Parliament in Brussels.
All those protesters and "swept off" are installed for more than 40 years in Slovenia and even longer, and were always her citizens.
One of so many forms of the ethnic cleansing, this time in a "civilized way".
