KFOR intervenes in northern Kosovo

Pristina - KFOR troops have been dispatched to
northern Kosovo.

"KFOR will intervene," said Bertran Bono, the
spokesman for the NATO-led peacekeeping mission in
Kosovo.

He declined to give additional details over series of
incidents reported in northern Kosovo on Tuesday
morning.

Kosovo police urged NATO to send extra troops to the
border area between Kosovo and southern Serbia, where
two police checkpoints were blown up earlier today.
