V.B.: In the 2000 election the Supreme Court stepped in, took the election away from the American people, stopped the re-count... the re-count that was ordered and authorised by law and handed the election to George Bush. And that's not a betrayal of America? That's something that you would expect maybe in a banana republic but not in the U.S. RT: You demand that President Bush be impeached and convicted. What are your reasons for doing so? V.B.: If he was impeached and convicted - he should be impeached and convicted - but he'd still be a free man, still be able to wake up in the morning with a cup of coffee, fresh orange juice, travel the world, live a life of privilege, belong to the country club. He shouldn't lead that type of life if he is responsible for - I say he is responsible ... George Bush took this nation to war under a lie, under false pretences and they fall under the law. He's guilty of murder for the deaths of over four thousand young American soldiers who have died so far in his war fighting in Iraq. And let's not forget about the over one hundred thousand innocent Iraqi men, women, children and babies who've died horrible violent deaths because of George Bush's war. He's got to be brought to justice. So far nothing has been done to George Bush - not impeachment nor even an investigation of him by Congress or the Department of Justice - nothing. RT: How do you see the foreign policies of the U.S. over the last several years? V.B.: Our foreign policy is that we get the respect of the people around the world. And in the last 8 years something has happened that has never happened before. For the first time in this nation's history the majority of people in the civilized world now look down upon us. They used to look up to us. Now they have a negative view of us, it's because of the invasion of Iraq, a sovereign nation. If we (the U.S.) want to become the great nation that once was, we can hardly do that if we don't take the first step of bringing those responsible for the war in Iraq to justice.
