We commemorate the 14th anniversary of the Srebrenica massacre, and remember the lives lost at the hands of violence and aggression. Now, almost 15 years later, we cannot forget the death and destruction that happened there, and continue to work towards relieving strife and civil war around the world. As the International Court of Justice, United Nations, European Union and United States have all recognized, the acts committed at Srebrenica are a dark time in our world’s history that we must always remember to ensure that history does not repeat itself.
