Karadzic requests that the German government submits eight categories of documents: reports, memorandums, correspondence and reports of the Federal Intelligence Service (BND) related to the weapons’ deliveries to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIH), especially to Srebrenica in 1995, the Radio Deutsche Welle reported. “The requested documents should prove that the war in Bosnia from 1992 to 1995 was not initiated by Karadzic, but that the West has been involved in the disintegration of Yugoslavia.” the Spiegel report stated. In addition, Berlin is to submit all the documents about the meetings of German officials with the leaders of Bosnian Serbs, Muslims and Croats. The former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic claims that the war in Bosnia was fostered from abroad as the Muslims were getting weapons supplies. Reminding that Karadzic has also requested the similar documents from France, Croatia and Iran, Spiegel assessed he is trying to buy the time and delay pronouncing the sentence.
