Hi, everyone. We're please to announce that Sopo is hosting a conference this month that's all about how to start and sustain community bike projects and shops. It's called Bike!Bike! Southeast! (it's a regional variation on a national conference called Bike!Bike!). The conference gets going on Thursday, January 26, and workshops will run all day for the next three days. Everyone is welcome to participate. We especially need locals to provide home hospitality and loaner bikes. If you can help, please let us know: -your address and phone number. -how many people can stay at your place of residence. -what you can provide/what they should bring (do you have a couch? floorspace if they bring sleeping bags?). -special considerations (pets, indoor smoking). -how many/what kind/size of loaner bikes you can offer.
