Hi, everyone!

*Sopo needs shop volunteers! You don't need to know lots about fixing bikes
to help out. You can...*
-greet people and explain what's going on,
-show people where to find things,
-learn about repairs with the person you're helping,
-make sure people are using the right tool for the right job (no hammering
with wrenches, for example),
-accept, record, and sort donations,
-help with general upkeep, and
-keep track of wandering tools, bikes, and other things mistakenly carried
away.
*
How do I become a volunteer?*
-Fill out this
application<http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dEJPWXlycHItMGM2SkdrUUNBMDZxZXc6MA..>(it's
real quick).
-Attend Volunteer Orientation (4th Monday of the month at 7 pm at the shop
plus one day that week so you can shadow a more seasoned volunteer).
-Be down for the cause: volunteers help people learn by allowing them to do
their own work and by enforcing our rules that make the shop a positive
place to be.
*And then...*
-Volunteer at a minimum of two shop sessions per month.*

What are the benefits of being a shop volunteer?*
-You can come to Volunteer Night (2nd Monday of the month at 7 pm). It's a
chance to work on your own bike with fewer people around and a great
opportunity to meet the rest of the volunteers.
-You're making a GIGANTIC impact on the health and well being of Atlanta and
the people in it.
-You're making sure Sopo stays open and operating smoothly.
-At the end of the month, your name gets entered into a raffle. The more
you volunteer, the better your chances of winning.

Thanks!
Rachael
