There is evidence that marketing can help a lot--when I was with Binary Research, I sold 10 or 15 licenses a month due to their web traffic. Since then sales have dropped steadily to 1 a month or so. David P.S. In case anyone is anyone is wondering, I didn't get rich. Startup costs and the 50% split with BRI did not help my bottom line...
