Hi,

After some progress, I have for the first time started an OOo version
(1.9.71s1 here) on Mac OSX (X11/Mac OSX 10.3.4) :-)

I have put some snapshots here :
<http://eric.bachard.free.fr/mac/MacOSX_m71s1/>

It's only a hack, because packaging don't work yet (epm and osx format
not complete ?) but it is secondary at this step of the build ;-) The
problem is *always* binfilter su... and nothing else than hsqldb can
work yet :-/

Exactly : File -> New -> give me no other choice than DataBase***...
(nothing else ...).

In fact, because the packaging process abort, the other packages
(writer, Impresss...and all others than core) cannot be created, so they
cannot be tested (this is the exact reason of why only db can be used).
  This needs more investigations.

Sure, a lot of work is to do before a completely functionnal version of
OpenOffice.org2.0 can be used on Mac OSX, but whith this, an enormous
progress is done !

For memory, <http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=39952>
needs always a solution (my uggly workaround who consists in take the
Linux PowerPC file is not acceptable).

Of course, *as soon as possible* (this evening or more certainly
tomorrow), I'll post all I have made to obtain this result, and help -if
I can- everyone who wants to do build too. Before, I need to produce all
the "clean" necessary patches and correctly/complete some issues.

The work continue !! Of course, everey help is welcome !

Regards,
eric bachard
