Hi

I should be free for a bit of this month to make arrangements for a handover but my free time to contribute will be few and far between so I thought it would be better to make arrangements for someone to take the slack for a little while.

The handover document was something I had for a long while, so I decided to update it just to let people know what goes on and give others a good encouragement to help.

Erwin and Charles have already picked up a bit of the tasks and there are a few volunteers keen to help out with the Newsletter blog as well.

I am intending to come back and help once things have eased off.

And last of all here is an article at the Guardian about how there are few outside contributors to OOo: http://technology.guardian.co.uk/weekly/story/0,16376,1660763,00.html . Pkus side - more exposure of OOo; negative side: shows that work needs to be done simplifying OOo so people can more easily help.

I will be around still trying to process things for most of December.

With Thanks
Deepankar

Hello Deepankar

I'm sorry to hear that you will be stepping away for a while, but thank
you for letting us know.

Thank you too for preparing a handover document describing how the
newsletter is currently collated.

All the best with your new found time, and do hope that you will pop in again to help us out from time to time.

Regards
Jacqueline
