Though my eject buttons are not missing, I've pulled a PCMCIA modem out 
by its cable, so I would suggest that. Just extend the X-Jack or plug in 
the modem's cable, and then gently pull on that to get the card out. 
There is no internal latch holding the PC cards in, just some friction.
