hi paul,

i had the same same thing with my new newton 2000 and keyboard last week. i
found that it worked when:
1) the newton was already on
2) it was already in newton works before i plugged it in.

Just bought a keyboard off of eBay... Plug  it in and type, no letters.
Running a 2000 upgraded model with dashboard and Newton works, 32 meg flash
card and 3com network card. I tried with and without the cards inserted,
after a restart and also freezing some software. Please tell me there's
something stupid I am not thinking of...
