I've gotten this sometimes. It happens most towards the bottom right of 
my screen. I've generally tried these things, in whatever order is 
convenient at the time:

+ align pen (perhaps several times)
+ restart (perhaps more than once)
+ remove protective screen cover and clean off all the dust.
  Use a post-it note to get the dirt out from under the edges
  of the screen (where the screen cover tucks in).

Eventually it clears up, but I haven't proven which treatment is the most 
effective.
