I just purchased a new Apple modem card(H0085LL/B) for my old Newton. When it arrived via United Parcel Shredders, it was quite beat up. Of course, it was shipped in it's retail box...very lousy shipping in my opinion.
My problem is that when I try to fax, I get a no dial tone detected message. If I set it up to ignore the dial tone, it will dial...I can hear it. This leads me to believe that the problem is in the internal connection to the pop out connector. Any opinions on this, before I get too nasty with the uncooperative person that sold it to me. It is a pretty neat little unit, if I can get this resolved. Thanks all, Oscar __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
