Well, what it's telling you is exactly the problem: your 120 is almost
certainly running the Newton OS 1.3 and Newton Connection Utilities is for
Newton that run at least NOS 2.0. You'll have to stick with Newton
Connection Kit, or upgrade to a 120 that runs NOS 2.0. And no, you cannot
install a software patch to upgrade your 120 running NOS 1.3. You have to
swap the whole unit for one that has the ROM with NOS 2.0. Or you could
always try to find a broken 120 with the 2.0 ROM and replace the ROM in your
120 with the 1.3 ROM, if you are in that sort of things...
