Don't fear the OSX upgrade. I'm running Jaguar and Newton Connection 
Utilities sync with the Newton fine under Classic. I even sync and 
backup via NCU over appletalk via wireless to the newt. You'll be able 
to grab newtworks stuff per usual using Classic under X (even wireless)
