I have a Newton 2000 and I think the case I have was called a communications case. I have trashed the zipper and if one is out there I would like to buy another. I believe this was sold through Apple. It holds a cell phone in the front and has an exterior zippered compartment on the back and actually was designed to allow the Newton to be used in the landscape mode while still in the case and propped up by an accordion like support.
