I don't have as many as that...but I do have some VHS tapes and cassette 
recordings of night migrations from the early 2000's that I am planning to 
convert to WAV using Raven Pro's recorder. Probably anything you digitize, I 
would think, would be no worse than the quality that is currently on the tapes.

Subject: [nfc-l] Archiving cassette recordings


Hello NFC-ers,

Our lab has about 50 - 60 cassette tapes with bird recordings that we would 
like to electronically archive in a reasonable amount of time .  Can anyone 
recommend a possible archiving system that converts to WAV  (or at least other 
than MP3) that would retain the integrity of the recording?  I thought there 
might be folks that have had a similar situation.  Any and all suggestions will 
be appreciated.
