if you are using C, you can look to source code of nfreader.c for an example, how to read a nfdump file. The binary structure of nfdump files is in nffile.h. If you are using Perl, Tomas Podermanski announced a nflib library 2 months ago -

The library allows you to manipulate or create a nfdump file.
