OK, I'm looking to consolidate a number of existing NFS servers (NFS3 mostly,
wouldn't be above using NFS4 in the future) onto what will become a cluster of
solaris boxes.

What I'm looking for is the ability to do this move initially without having to
affect the client configurations: which means, that my new machines will
acquire a series of IP addresses. At each of those IP addresses there'll be a
different set of NFS shares. That is, I'd like the NFS share namespace to be
virtualised on the basis of server IP address.

Sounds a lot like asking for NFS service from within a zone, I know. To be
honest I'd settle for an nfsd that supported virtualised namespaces; I don't
need the full zone compartmentalisation.

I've been led to believe by various tantalising hits and tips that trusted
extensions may be able to do what I'm after: but what I haven't found is an
idiot's step-by-step howto (ironically, I have found several exasperated emails
from people who apparently spell this out on a regular basis).

So: will TX give me what I'm after for NFS3 & 4? Will it do it now? If so, does
anyone have a cookbook?

Cheers,
jan
