I cannot access the directory from ANY of the listed hosts except for the
last one.  I was told offline about a possible reverse-lookup problem, but
the last address is particularly troublesome for reverse-lookups, but it
STILL WORKED!  And no, that last address isn't in kebe's /etc/hosts.

If these are machine addresses, then you need to follow the correct format:

@x.z.57.1

Otherwise the system will treat these as names.

Any clues?  Build 136 on the servers, and the clients range around different
builds, and the working address can be assigned to the same machine as one
of the non-working addresses (two distinct remote-access pools, same client).
