Another user is reporting permission denied errors from a CIFS share from an imported pool. My pool is imported. I wonder if I'm experiencing the same issue, just on the NFS side? (CIFS works fine, but I'd much rather use NFSv4 than CIFS).
Also, I tried `ls /net/192.168.2.6/tank/shares/shawn` on the server itself, which works. It's just other clients (tested now on both b129 and b134) that are getting the permission denied error. I guess my next step would be to set up LDAP and authenticate against that. It really does seem like the nfs client is automatically authenticating against the "nobody" user instead of the "shawn" user. I'll report again once LDAP is set up. If anyone has any suggestions (I'd really rather not toy with LDAP, but I'll do whatever it takes), I'd love to hear them. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ nfs-discuss mailing list [email protected]
