https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SettingUpNFSHowTo basically call "mount -t nfs4 -o proto=tcp,port=2049 <server>:<share-point> <mount-point> and see if that makes any difference at all. I'm not sure if you need to specify the proto in the options, but both those documents appear to use that syntax.
