Have you checked your firewall configuration?
Can you do a localhost mount?

Subject: [Nfs-ganesha-devel] Failed to connect to statd
On my system, I am not able to connect to statd and nfs-ganesha starts but does
not accept any nfs mount requests.
I do have rpcbind and rpc-statd running.
Any ideas?
