Do you mind my asking what your use case is for FSAL_PROXY? One thing that
contributes to the lack of attention is lack of a use case other than “hey we
can do that and hey we have code for it, cool!”.

Which Ganesha version are you running?

Unfortunately FSAL_PROXY suffers from not having a champion and it does not
receive a lot of development attention.

Subject: [Nfs-ganesha-devel] nfs-ganesha proxy issue - infinite "pxy_rpc_recv:
Timeout, wait again"

Hi,

I am trying to setup nfs-ganesha in proxy mode. ganesha.nfsd parses the proxy
configuration successfully and I do not see any errors in the log as well. But
when I try to mount the Pseudo path from client, it is hanging there forever.
In the logs, I could see infinite number of "pxy_rpc_recv :FSAL :DEBUG
:Timeout, wait again...". Is this a known issue?

- "ganesha.nfsd" is up and running

- able to mount original nfs server on client and proxy (verified manually)

- export (without proxy settings) local share from same proxy server working
fine. mounted on client and could do read/writes

log is flooded with following msgs:
