Change subject: MDCACHE - Update attribute cache on open

MDCACHE - Update attribute cache on open
Open can return a new set of attributes. If this happens, update the
attribute cache with the new attributes.
This splits attribute cache updates from the refresh, allowing updates
from more API points as they are added.
