i suspect that i definitely have left out some optimization somewhere (but need some hints)...
the graph in question looks like this... and i wonder what else can be done to improve this... buying more memory is certainly on the agenda ;)
basically the current setup is a debian running on 3Ghz Xeon box with 1G ram handling 2k/sec flows at the moment.
i did noticed that populating db-ports can turn out to be a challenge even when i increased nfcapd's buffers to 450k.
