With that amount of data, you are going to need the speed of SAS.  We
have less data, and we are running OK on ATA drives. Even so, it still
takes several minutes for queries to display, even if we have only
selected a few hours of data to look through.  The faster the drive, the
better experience you will have with NFSEN.

Hi all,

I am in need of some real-world feedback on disk requirements
(specifically speed) necessary to properly power a NFSEN system. We
are currently capturing ~30GB of data per day (obviously we can figure
out the total size requirements based on the number of days we want to
capture) - I am more interested in SATA vs. SAS at this point for the
drive medium.
