nfdump collect the flows and calculates the throughput according the values
in the flows. So the exporting device sending the flows is responsible
for accurate values.

| performance/tuning tips?
performance is not only a question of the software, but also the hardware you
are using.
With decent hardware and some speedy disks you need not to tune the collector.
