We set up an "ISP Drop"  alert for each of our four ISP routers.. This
alert tells us that theres 

 been a drastic drop in traffic on a particular ISP , indicating a
possible BGP/routing protocol 

 issue.

 

    Bits/s   <    %90    30 minute average   .
