Looking further into this issue, found out that the nfcapd.$tslot file is not being copied in the alert directory. Copying the nfcapd file manually in the directory, before the alert processing happens, everything appears to work properly - alerts are triggered, the graph is updated and the nfcapd file is removed after being processed.
