Hi Jan,

Thanks for a response. I feel that I am close but I just cant seem to get your
solution to work. I have created an empty profile. I then copied the .rrd from
that empty profile to my two switches under my "live" profile. Then I made the
changes to the live/profile.dat file you have below.

When going to the stat page and clicking the green check mark I get the
following message:

"

ERROR: nfsend: Profile 'live' not a new profile. Nothing to confirm.!"
I have the following for my live/profile.dat file:

name = live
group = .
tbegin = 1305148200
tcreate = 1305148200
tstart = 1279816500
tend = 1305827700
updated = 1305827700
expire = 0
maxsize = 0
size = 389701632
type = 2
locked = 0
status = new
version = 130
channel = test-switch-1:+:#f00000:2:test-switch-1
channel = test-switch-2:+:#0000ff:1:test-switch-2

Any thoughts on what I'm missing?

-Joe

 Hi,

I do this by modifing the profile.dat file. First you need to change the
profile status to new by modifiing the following rows:

type = 2
locked = 0
status = new

Next, you need to replace all .rrd files of your profile by emtpy ones. You
can obtain them by creating brand new profile and replace all .rrds with
new
empty .rrd file from the new profile.

Then navigate to nfsen Stat tab of this profile. You will be able to click
on the green Tick symbol which starts the rebuild of the whole profile.

This works for me very well.

Enjoy,
    Jan

I would like to second this info request as I have been watching this
post very carefully. I am in the exact same situation. I have
imported
some older nfdump data, and the import process works just fine. I can
even query it from the webpage just fine. However I would really
really like to know is there a way to rebuild my graphics to reflect
the new data.
