I am using nfsen 1.3.5 on CentOS 5.7 x86_64.
Occasionally nfsen will crash for unknown reason. For example:
# /data/nfsen/bin/nfsen status
NfSen version: 1.3.5
NfSen status:
Collector for (pen thi) port 9995 is running [2688].
nfsen daemon: pid: [2690] died for unknown reason.
Nothing was logged regarding this crash. The time of the crash
(indicated by stopped data graph update) does not indicate any
association with other events that may have an influence.
We are running nfsen by including in /etc/rc.local:
/data/nfsen/bin/nfsen start
So, why could this be happening?
Also, I see that if I restart nfsen, graphs are not updated for all the
period during which nfsen was not running, although nfcapd has captured
data for that period. Graphs are only updated from the time nfsen
restarts, and they depict a long (duration is of course depending on the
nfsen downtime) absence of data.
How can I manually force nfsen to read all collected data and include
them in the graphs (for live and other shadow profiles), without losing
any other - older or newer - displayed information?
Thanks,
Nick
