Hi there,
I’ve recently been using Nfsen to create graphs for each Public IP address on
the network at my work. This was working great in testing, I've parsed the
information from the RRDs that Nfsen stores and returned JSON to my management
website for graph creation. However once I added more all the IPs we needed to
monitor (more than just the 4 that I was testing with) Nfsen jumps to 98-100%
CPU usage. This I believe is due to it being single threaded. The VM that we
are currently testing this on has 8x 2.6Ghz cores and 8GB of ram ( the ram is
an over kill 😖 ) so with threading we are hoping to cope with the vast number
of IPs.
Could you please add multi threading support 😊, we are more than happy to help
test it.
P.S. when Nfsen runs at max CPU on one core the graphs are incorrect, possibly
due to the RRDs not being populated with the data in time.
Thanks and kind regards,
Chris Barbour.
